Miss Twerk Competition 2021

Welcome to the Seventh Annual Miss Twerk Australia Competition.

This Event is hosted at the Voodoo Lounge on Wednesday 12th May 2021.

Voodoo Lounge opens to the Public at 8.30pm, is $20 General Entry (Entry Terms & Conditions Apply) and the show will start about 10pm.

ENTERING THE COMP:

Performers must be at the venue no later than 9pm to get ready, be briefed and work out the performance order. They are requested to enter through the main doors from James St.

When you arrive, please inform the receptionist that you are there to enter the Miss Twerk Comp, so you can be signed off and receive your bar card. Contestants will be getting ready in High Roller Room (Downstairs).

Performers can have 2 guests ($10 entry) for support and will receive a $25 Bar Card (to help with the nerves).

The rules are simple and listed below for each category, these will be accompanied with the following criteria will go into points section of the judging process with a final “Twerk off” battle between the top finalists. Each act will be assessed on the individual category rules and the following.

• Presentation: Costume, theme & interpretation of theme/music.
• Technique: The technical method of how each trick is performed
• Timing: Co-ordination of moves as assorted with music and others
• Style: The energy and individualistic manner in which the show is presented.
• Crowd Response: Response of crowd during & after the performance.

NOTE: The Stage is made of glass, High Heels, boots, joggers or bare feet are permissible BUT no metal soled shoes or metal tipped heels.

COMPETITION RULES:

MUSIC:

Please provide your music prior to the event or bring on the night via USB, if you forgot your song or do not have a track one will be allocated to you on the night.

SOLO Twerking Competition Rules: (1 Person)

1. All participants must Twerk for ONE MINUTE when Host gives the signal.
2. Free styling is allowed, floor grinding, and floor touching is permitted, however contestants are NOT to climb the 2 podium poles. They are able to use them as a prop and for stability (but no climbing).
3. No liquids to be used and any props must have prior event approval.
4. Contestant to supply song 1 week prior to event – if they want. Otherwise, the DJ will play something suitable.

DUO Twerking Competition Rules: (2 People)

1. Freestyling is allowed, floor grinding, and floor touching is permitted, however contestants are NOT to climb the 2 podium poles. They are able to use them as a prop and for stability.
2. Performance Time is a Minimal of 1 minute, with a maximum time of 4min.
3. No liquids to be used and any props must have prior event approval.
4. Teams will compete against other Teams.
5. Contestant to supply song 1 week prior to event – if they want. Otherwise, the DJ will play something suitable.

TEAM Twerking Competition Rules: (3 to 5 people)

1. Freestyling is allowed, floor grinding, and floor touching is permitted, and contestants CAN climb and use the 2 podium poles to enhance artistic performance.
2. Performance Time is a Minimal of 1 minute, with a maximum time of 4min.
3. No liquids to be used and any props must have prior event approval.
4. Teams will compete against other Teams.
5. Contestant to supply song 1 week prior to event – if they want. Otherwise, the DJ will play something suitable.

X-RATED Twerking Competition Rules: ADULT PERFORMERS (STRIPPERS) ONLY

1. Free styling is allowed, floor grinding, and floor touching is permitted, however contestants are unable to climb the 2 podium poles. They are able to use them as a prop and for stability (but no climbing).
2. Performance Time is a Minimal of 1 minute, when the host gives the signal.
3. No liquids to be used and any props must have prior event approval.
4. Then they will Remove their G-strings in parade style.
5. Final Twerk off decider ONE MINUTE and is done without G-string.
6. Music will be suppled by the DJ.

• 2nd PRIZE: $50 Cash, Voucher From “For Play & Pleasure”.
• 3rd PRIZE: Voucher From “For Play & Pleasure”.

DUO TWERK PRIZES:
• 1st PRIZE: $100 Cash (to split), Sash, Trophy & Tiara.
• 2nd PRIZE: $50 Cash, Voucher From “For Play & Pleasure.

TEAM TWERK PRIZES:
• 1st PRIZE: $100 Cash (to split), Sash, Trophy & Tiara.
• 2nd PRIZE: $50 Cash, Voucher From “For Play & Pleasure”.

X-RATED TWERK PRIZES:
• 1st PRIZE: Sash, Trophy & Tiara.
• 2nd PRIZE: Voucher From “For Play & Pleasure”.
• 3rd PRIZE: Voucher From “For Play & Pleasure”.
